Our New Homeowner Orientation is a practical, guided walkthrough designed to help you understand your home, know where important controls and shutoffs are located, learn basic maintenance routines, and recognize issues that may need attention. We’ll answer questions along the way so you can feel more confident caring for your new home.
More Than a Walkthrough — A Manual for Your Home
Every home is different. During your New Homeowner Orientation, we’ll walk through your property with you, document important systems and appliances, answer questions about how your home works, and discuss maintenance, safety, repairs, and improvements. If you choose, we’ll organize what we learn into a customized Homeowner’s Manual created specifically for your home.

Walk Through Your Home
We walk through the property together, showing you important systems, water shutoffs, basic electrical panel information, appliances, smoke and carbon monoxide safety equipment, routine maintenance needs, and other important features of your home.

Document the Details
With your permission, we photograph and record useful information about appliances, equipment, filters, systems, model information, important locations, and other home-specific details when available.

Build Your Homeowner’s Manual
We organize the information into a customized digital reference for your home, including available appliance manuals, maintenance information, important home records, and other useful resources.

Give You a Plan Going Forward
Your manual includes a home maintenance schedule and record so you can track routine tasks, repairs, appliance service, replacements, and larger improvements over the years.
